Mrs. Miranda Rae Autobiography
My name is Miranda Rae Abugharbeya. My desire to teach stems from childhood when I would play school with my three younger sisters. Myself always being the teacher, I would create assignments and give lectures to my "students." I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. However it wasn't until 10th grade when I was a teacher assistant for the first grade that I knew I wanted to specialize in early childhood education. Young children have the opportunity to be molded and have a natural instinct to learn. I have pursed my desire to teach young children by teaching preschool Sunday school at my church and being a yard duty and lunch lady at a private elementary school called Cornerstone Christian. I have been working towards my goal to be a teacher and get my Bachelor's degree. While doing so, I have been blessed with the opportunity to student teach in several elementary classrooms.
Career Goals
My ultimate career goal is to inspire my students. I long to provide for my students a safe and respected learning environment where their voices will be heard, dreams will come alive, and learning will be flourished.
Preferred Age Group
I hope to teach the first grade. First grade is an exciting new stage in the young learner's life. Wonder, discovery, and growth emerges in the new student while they are eager to learn. Working with this age group I would be able to assist and watch my students grow as readers, writers, and mathematicians.
